PANIGAON OMPRAKASH DINODIA COLLEGE

1. Introduction

The Skill Development Cell at Panigaon Omprakash Dinodia College was formally reconstituted on 4th November 2024 with the following members:

• Joint Coordinators: Mr. Jyotish Engti and Mr. Pritam Bora
• Members: Dr. Rosemin Akhtara and Miss Sayanika Bormon

The cell aims to equip students with essential skills for their academic, professional, and personal growth, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements. Since then, the cell has undertaken several initiatives to fulfil its objectives.

2. Activities Undertaken

• We spread awareness of the PM Internship program.
• Meeting with the NIELIT team for approval of the computer skill centre at our college.
• A workshop on the art of chalk pencil making was conducted at Panigaon OPD College on 23/06/2025. It was organised jointly by the Career Counselling Cell and Skill Development Cell of the institution.
  
  Mr. Narayan Chandra Bora, a renowned entrepreneur of Lakhimpur, delivered a lecture on skill and entrepreneurship, and demonstrated the process of making chalk pencil live.
